My first pick for the apple story of the week is about a couple in Maine who for the past ten years have brought their pet llamas into nursing homes, schools, churches, and veterans' homes . These 13 and 18 year old llamas have put smiles on the faces of patients and old folks. Apparently it was difficult to get the llamas through the door but that situation has been resolved and the result is a lot of happy people, some of whom just throw their arms around the llamas' neck for a fury hug.
Pets make great friends and family.
